The proud cross called Widgery, Standing at the top of Bray Tor. 18th April 2009 Childes Tomb. Legend has it this is the place of rest of a wealthy Saxon lord who loved hunting. Whilst out on a chase he became stranded in Fox Tor Mire. In order to try and stay alive he removed the insides of his horse and curled up inside but obviously did not survive. Photo taken 3rd May 2009 Misery Cross. A very prominent cross that stands at the top of Ter Hill. Photo taken 3rd May 2009 A female Adder. A nice but scary surprise whilst walking near Childes Tomb. A grey coloured male was covering the female but on our arrival scarpered!. Photo taken 3rd May 2009
